Being in Creation
Okay so today I'm trying to get through all the work that I feel has to be done today. Some of it does and other things can wait. Eventually I will get to that point where I will realize the last point, usually at the point where I feel I haven't done enough today and have failed. Yet amazingly enough God through Jesus did not create every thing in one day. God paced Himself and appreciated what He finished. He did not set out to do everything all at once but took the time to do what He did well.
Part of my problem is that I do try to do too much all at once. Like so far this morning I'm trying to put together a poster to advertise the outdoor service, trying to confirm things for the out door service, thinking about the service coming up on Sunday, trying to organize a meeting and needs for the Williamsburg VBS, calling some people about helping out at the Morrisburg VBS, thinking that I should get ready for the meeting to night for the Morrisburg VBS, thinking about all the people I should visit and call, organizing another meeting, I'm sure there's more but you get the idea. Who am I trying to please in all of this?
I did get to go for a short little walk with my son this morning. He gave me my hat, got a hat that is also mine for himself, went and pointed to his shoes, we put them on and then looked at my sandels and I put them on and then he went to the door. We all need to have those moments when we are drawn a way from the busyness to be with others. Some of the stuff that I have mentioned will not get down today and that is okay. Some of it I can't control.
God Created the universe through Jesus, and took His time doing it yet everything seems to fit together so intrincitely that it all works together and without one thing other parts of the whole don't work so well together. One I'm not working on anything that intrincit right now, but also two is that I am part of God's creation here. As part of it I need to take time to be part of God. Without that, I am starving myself of the life giving creativity of God. Some things will wait until tomorrow, others will not, if you need help knowing the difference, ask God help to see the diffence.
Until next time,
ed.

Thanks for giving your blog a go. I hope people will give it a try.
Interesting new sermon series -- I like the theology emphasis and the chance to wrap my mind around new thoughts.
Sometimes we all have a lot of balls in the air but somehow the important stuff gets done in time. Glad you had the special time with Morgan this morning.
You have two hats? ;)
Thanks Rhonda
Hopefully this sermon series will have something for everybody. It is looking at Jesus in a slightly new way.
Just trying this out
I hope you'll post your thoughts, Lydia, now that you are on the road to figuring this out. I found that I had to re-register last time I posted. It's frustrating, but only takes a minute.
