Not afraid because of Jesus

After just about everything I wonder, how could I have done this better. For somethings it isn't as important but for other things I really need to focus a lot more. I was officiating a funeral for a wonderful person in the congregation and while trying to tie her life into a life lived because of God, I may have fallen short of the redemption of Christ. Everything about her last years had been given to her because of Jesus. And just before I sat down to write this, She was not afraid to be in the church today in a casket because of Jesus, because of His life, because of His death, and because of His resurrection. She knew that she was in the hands of Jesus, her Lord and Saviour. She knew that death could not hold her because she had given herself over to Jesus and had experienced that freedom.

I do hope and pray that God has and will continue to work in me and through me.
