Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
- Colossians 2:7 (NLT)

We remember the life of Keira Mitchell today. May she find the same joy with Jesus as she brought to her family and friends in her short life.

A Prayer for today.

Lord Jesus, we are thankful that it is true, our faithlessness was not stronger than Your faithfulness, our hopelessness was not stronger than the hope that You bring, that our sinfulness did not overcome Your righteousness, that death did not, could not hold You. Lord Jesus You are risen, You have overcome, You have redeemed us, Your love and Your Grace are alive and well today. Hallelujah, praise God, Hallelujah. Thank-you Jesus. Thank-you Jesus. You are faithful and true. You are opening our eyes to more than just right now. You are leading us through the brokenness to wholeness, from hopelessness to Your faithfulness. You have not left us or forsaken us, we are not alone. You are with us in our brokenness and our sickness, our joys and stresses. Thank-you Jesus, we pray this in Your precious name. Amen.

A prayer for to day

Lord Jesus, we are in the inbetween time. Inbetween the cross and the resurrection, the time when the disciples locked themselves on homes and hid, the time when many of us return to busyness, some busy preparing for the joyous feast with family and friends, some simply returning to a busy lifestyle. Yet this is a time not of going back to what was but a time if preparing for what will be. A time of letting go of our way of thinking and doing and being opened up to God's love, grace and rhythm of life. Help us Lord Jesus, prepare us to walk in Your grace, to live in Your forgiveness, to be transformed by Your love, being made alive by Your resurrection, to follow in Your faithfulness. We prayer in Jesus' name. Amen.

A Prayer for today.

Lord Jesus, today is a day filled with obedience and hopefulness. You gathered Your disciples together to celebrate the Passover, to remember The LORD'S deliverance from death and from slavery and oppression into freedom. They were excited to follow in obedience and their hope was in You Jesus, but as the night went on their hope was tested, and some started to doubt and fear gripped their hearts. To them the unthinkable was happening, even though You warned them they had not listened. Instead of their hope growing, it started to fail and they started to hide.
We too hope in You Jesus. But some of us hope for You to do things our way in our time. We think that thus will lead us into greater faithfulness but it is really only to see if You will do it our way and show us to be in control. Help us to be faithful to You, to follow You because You are the Messiah, our Lord and Saviour, not merely for what You will do to bless us. Change our will and our hearts that we would seek to have a heart like Your's seeking to do God's will and not just our own. Help us to be patient as You unfold Your Divine plan even when it hurts us and we don't understand the why and wonder where you are. Help us to to remember that You are faithful to love us and care for us and that You will never leave us or forsake us. In this we lift up to You people that are important to us: Brenda, Paul, Nikki, Miranda, Charles, Judy, Sharon, and others that are on our hearts, and for those we do not know: for those who have given up hope, for people face war and persecution in Africa, in Syria, in Eastern Europe, to those who have been touch by violence here in Canada, for so many people who have health problems. Help all to know that You are still there with us, that even though we do not always see Your hand at work, You are still there with us loving us like no other. You will walk with us through whatever we face. You are here, we are not alone, Thanks be to God. In Jesus Name.

When you wake up and really don't want to face the day, will you Follow Jesus, allowing Him to iron out the feelings and problems, as He leads you to His blessings?

Thinking on Lent; we need to make room by stopping something so there will be more room for Jesus, just like my lawn is emptying out the snow to make room for green grass.
